About Amy Porche

Amy Porche is an Education Behavior Consultant (EBC) and Professional Speaker, with a focus on Sensory Processing Disorder, Successful Classroom Arrangement, and Unique Learning System, with ABA School Consultants in Alexandria, La. She is currently certified in Special Education with 10 years experience teaching in the Autism Program in Rapides Parish.

“When I began my teaching career, I knew my focus would always be in Special Education but working with children with Autism is where my heart was”. As a Special Education teacher, Amy wanted her focus to be, not just on teaching, but also to provide a voice to children that do not always have one.

“There was never a day that my students did not amaze me”. As a teacher in the Autism Program, she knew it was imperative to create a successful learning environment by addressing not only their academic needs, but also their behavioral, social, and functional needs, in order to promote student success both in and out of the classroom. Transitioning out of the classroom to ABA School Consultants provided her the platform to reach more students, educate more parents, and provide more classroom support to teachers through data collection, behavior intervention strategies, instructional strategies, and Professional Development.
